1. Media stays on your Mac
LevelSet does not upload your audio, video, filenames, playlist contents, waveforms, loudness measurements, taste settings, compression choices, or exported files to the licensing service. Media processing and audition happen on your Mac.
2. Information used for purchase and licensing
We process the purchase email address; license and fulfillment records; Stripe payment-reconciliation identifiers; the Terms and Privacy versions accepted at purchase; activation status and coarse timestamps; application version and platform; and security records needed to prevent abuse and troubleshoot delivery.
LevelSet creates a random installation identifier. The licensing database stores a keyed, non-reversible representation of that identifier rather than a hardware serial number. The service does not request an advertising identifier or create an activity profile.
3. How the information is used
This information is used to confirm payment, issue one license, enforce the two-Mac activation limit, deliver and recover the code, free activation slots, prevent fraud, provide support, and meet legal and accounting obligations. It is not sold or used for behavioral advertising.
4. Service providers
Stripe handles checkout and payment data under Stripe’s privacy practices. Cloudflare provides website, licensing-service, database, security-verification, queue, and email-delivery infrastructure. These providers receive information only as needed to perform those services.
5. Recovery and retention
A recovery link is single use and expires after 30 minutes. The temporary license-management session expires after 15 minutes and is kept only in browser memory. Purchase and license records are retained as needed to honor the perpetual license, provide recovery, reconcile payments, prevent abuse, and comply with law.
Submitting the recovery form always produces the same browser response so the page does not reveal whether an email address has a license.
6. Security and your choices
License codes are protected for lookup and recovery using separate cryptographic controls. Signed entitlements are verified locally by the application. No Internet system is risk-free, but access is limited and security-sensitive values are not placed in browser storage.
To request access, correction, or deletion where applicable, or to ask a privacy question, email [email protected]. Some purchase and license information may need to remain to preserve the license or meet legal obligations.
7. Children and changes
LevelSet is a professional desktop utility and is not directed to children under 13. Material policy changes will be published with a new version and effective date.
