1. Your license
LevelSet's original application code is proprietary software owned by ProEventTools. A LevelSet purchase grants the purchaser a personal, perpetual, non-transferable license to install and use the application on up to two Macs owned or controlled by that purchaser. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Updates are included while ProEventTools continues to publish them. The purchase licenses use of LevelSet; it does not transfer ownership of the application or include its source code.
The license code may not be sold, shared, published, or used to provide unrelated people with their own copies. Except where applicable law or a third-party component license permits otherwise, you may not bypass activation controls, redistribute the proprietary LevelSet application, or reverse engineer it. Nothing in these terms limits rights required by licenses governing third-party components, including rights needed to debug modifications to LGPL-covered components.
2. Activation and offline use
Each Mac must connect to the LevelSet licensing service once to activate. After successful activation, normal use does not require a recurring Internet connection or recurring license check.
You may deactivate a Mac in the application or free an activation through the secure recovery page. Because the entitlement is designed for permanent offline use, freeing a slot cannot technically disable a copy that already holds a valid entitlement and remains offline.
3. Purchases and refunds
The current price and currency appear before checkout. Stripe processes payment. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, LevelSet purchases are final and non-refundable. Contact [email protected] about duplicate charges, fraud, or a payment dispute.
4. Your media and exports
You are responsible for having the rights needed to process and export media with LevelSet. Keep backups and verify exported files before relying on them in a production. LevelSet is a production aid and does not replace professional judgment, rehearsal, or playback-system testing.
5. Availability and compatibility
System requirements are stated on the LevelSet product page. Operating-system, hardware, codec, and third-party changes can affect compatibility. ProEventTools may change, repair, or discontinue future distribution or support, but a valid installed offline entitlement has no planned expiration.
6. Third-party open-source components
LevelSet includes third-party open-source components governed by their own license notices. Those licenses control your rights in the covered components and are not limited by these terms. Their inclusion does not make LevelSet's original application code open source, and a purchase does not provide LevelSet source code.
7. Warranty and liability
To the extent permitted by law, LevelSet is provided “as is” without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation. ProEventTools is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss. To the extent permitted by law, total liability connected with LevelSet will not exceed the amount you paid for it. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.
8. Changes and contact
The terms accepted at purchase are recorded with that purchase. Material changes will be published with a new version and effective date. Questions may be sent to [email protected].
