ShowNotePad For Mac
- Operating system: macOS 13 Ventura or later.
- Mac hardware: Apple silicon, including M1 and newer. The current desktop release does not support Intel Macs.
- Internet: required for sign-in, shared synchronization, transcription, automatic organization, and application updates.
- Account: a valid ShowNotePad production-team account is required.
Using ShowNotePad Without A Microphone
Typed notes, editing, organizing, completing, printing, and shared synchronization remain available without microphone access.
Recording On The Mac
Audio recording and audio transcription require an available microphone and permission for ShowNotePad to use it. Audio notes can also be recorded with ShowNotePad Companion on iPhone and sent to the same shared production notebook.

ShowNotePad Companion For iPhone
- Operating system: iOS 15.1 or later.
- Device: designed for iPhone. iPad support is not currently advertised.
- Internet: required to sign in and upload clips to the shared production notebook.
- Microphone: recording audio notes requires microphone permission.
- Account: a valid ShowNotePad production-team account is required.
If connectivity is interrupted, ShowNotePad Companion keeps pending clips locally and retries upload when connectivity returns.
